Welcome to Write or Remain Silent

Welcome to Write or Remain Silent, the class blog for the two sections of ENG 101 on Politics and Cultural Citizenship in the Age of the Internet.

Every student in these two sections will be listed as a contributing author to the blog, which means you will be able to add new posts, edit your own posts, and comment on other posts. We will be using the blog as both an electronic forum for discussion and writing, as well as a form of civic engagement in the upcoming elections that comprise a major focus of our course.

Please be advised that while only members of our class can post to this blog, the blog is public. Not only will it show up in Google searches, but any person can read this blog and add comments on your individual posts. In other words, although the blog is part of our class at Wheaton College, it is also designed to remind us that knowledge, writing, and discourse are ultimately public acts that affect other people, often well beyond our immediate surroundings. When you add a new post or comment, please keep this potentially large audience in mind.
